What Fuels Our Passion for Making Connections - Part 1 of 6

I am honored to serve as Executive Director of Shepherd’s Fortress Ministries. We serve pastors and missionaries from around the United States and Canada, and beyond. We connect leaders with opportunities to be refreshed in the presence of the Lord.

I want to share a glimpse of all that is within my heart as I pray for the spiritual health of those in ministry. Here are two things that I pray specifically when preparing a list of getaway options for those who contact Shepherd's Fortress:

First, to be filled with the spirit of worship.
 John 4:23 says, “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” 
A.W. Tozer once said, “God wants worshipers before workers; indeed, the only acceptable workers are those who have learned the lost art of worship.”

Next, having sound doctrine. 
2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a worker who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.”
We pray for pastors to have a genuine love for truth found only in the word of God in the day in which we live. This world is starving for truth! We need to be that voice crying in the wilderness preparing the way of the Lord.
